The aroma of the wine is very light with a peach undertone. It brings a wonderful body of peaches, pears, lemon and a little sweetness from pineapples. The wine is light yellow with a prnounced nose with floral, grapefruit and honey dew aromas. The nose is followed by a medium body full flavored wine that carries the aromas of the nose to the palate. The finish is delightful, crisp and dry.

The wine will pair well with oysters, shrimp and white fish.

The Murphy-Goode Sauvignon Blanc or "The Fume" as they call it is delightful showing for 2007. It is fresh and crisp with flavors of pear, pineapple and a touch of lemon on the finish. The wine is well balanced with enough acidity to pair well with a wide range of foods but our taste buds were screaming for seafood! With a retail price of 11.50 this wine is a steal!

Perfect summer wine! This wine has a sweet, fruity smell of apples and melon with a slight vegetal aroma. The flavor fills your mouth with refreshing taste of lemon, lime, honeydew and a little green pepper. It is off dry on the palette with a medium finish. Definitely a great accompaniment to a white fish with a light butter sauce.

We were a little surprised after reviewing this wine to discover it has a long history of 90 plus ratings in other publications. It's a good Sauvignon Blanc but does not cross the 90 point threshold in our opinion. The nose is full of citrus with grapefruit leading the way. The body of the wine is full with a palate of fruits and a clean finish. Overall it's a good wine that most people will enjoy.
